“Wig! 1”
These are the girls that started it all. The first 11 that Laura presented for her debut gallery exhibition August, 2024 - “Wig!”. These gorgeous girls sold out in just three-days! And then the commissions began, fifteen total from this show. Translation…Laura sold out her first show two times and more! We weren’t at all surprised, they’re absolutely stunning.
Each bust is made by hand-pouring plaster into an original mold. The individual Wigs are then sculpted by hand atop one of the busts using a proprietary mixture that amounts to a, Paper Maché Clay. Once hardened, smoothed and dry, they’re then painted with custom mixed acrylic paint and rhinestoned, by hand…one, by one, by one.
Each Wig sculpture is roughly 16-ish” tall × 9-ish” wide.
